Starting the AI Programming with Python Challenge Course

Hey friends,

I'm thrilled to share a major milestone in my coding journey – This afternoon, I received an email stating that I'm one of the 17,000 applicants selected for Phase 1 of the Udacity Next Generation Tech Booster Scholarship sponsored by Bertelsmann for the AI Programming with Python Nanodegree program!

Phase 1 Details

This two-month, self-guided “Challenge” phase will provide me exposure to AI Programming with Python Fundamentals to build foundational skills within the track to prepare for the technical assessment on which I'll be tested in order to qualify for advancement to Phase 2, which is the actual Nanodegree learning track.

The excitement and anxiety are real, and I am eager to see how this experience will supercharge my career if I make it to the next phase! This phase of my learning journey is set to begin on Thursday, October 14th, with the live program kick-off session taking place this Friday, October 15th. It will continue through Wednesday, February 15th, 2024, which is the last date for me to tackle the Filtration Assessment. Following the assessment, the 500 top-performing students from their respective challenge courses will be selected to receive a Nanodegree program scholarship.

Gotta put my learning hat on so I can be one of the 500 selected—Wish me luck!

Want to follow along with my learning journey?

As I complete the challenge course, I will post my programming updates here, and the projects I complete will be displayed in the "Coding" projects category on my portfolio website. I will also highlight my updates on my social media profiles and email list.

Welcome: A Look Into My Coding Journey and What to Expect

Hey, coding pals!  Welcome to my coding blog. Here, I'll be chronicling my journey and spilling the beans on what I learn as I dive back into the ever-evolving world of coding. Get ready for the highs, the lows, and the nerdy in-betweens as I share my coding adventures with you. How I Started My Coding Journey... When I was in high school at University Preparatory High School (UPREP) in Detroit, I caught the coding bug thanks to an internship in my sophomore year with The Urban Artist Collective through Vanguard Community Development Corporation. At the age of 14, I learned the basics of HTML and CSS using only the Notepad app on a Windows computer, along with learning to use Adobe Photoshop. I soon found myself designing and coding up a storm and loving every minute of it. As students at UPREP, we had to complete a Senior These Project to graduate. For this project, once we entered our junior year, which was called Senior Institute, we spent the year planning and researching our d
